I love being a doctor, specifically I love the field of Endocrinology! I initially became interested in this field of medicine because hormones affect every system of the body. Everyday I have the opportunity to educate new patients and follow up with long-standing ones who have made tremendous improvements in their health. Treating patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, and pituitary dysfunction is highly gratifying because many times the correct diagnosis comes with an effective treatment. I have always believed that prevention is paramount, and I hope that with team work my patients will live long and healthy lives.
|What do you like to do outside of the hospital||
About a year or so into my training I realized I was not living by my own advice…so I set out on a plan to start eating healthier and getting back into shape. During this process, I have grown to love my early morning work outs (usually around 5:30 am), especially spinning, prior to going to the hospital (it is a great start to the day). Of course, living in New York City there is no shortage of things to do-I enjoy spending time with my family in Central Park, taking road trips, and experiencing all the amazing restaurants and culture!
